Clinically, Bexa’s high-resolution pressure elastography (to 5mm) produces the same result as a clinical breast exam- discovery of masses - but does so with much higher sensitivity than CBE and with the highest sensitivity of any technology. When a mass is discovered by Bexa, which occurs in 8 - 10% of women, our Bexa process includes an immediate, focused ultrasound of every mass. Those ultrasounds are immediately read by a remote radiologist and add the high specificity of ultrasound to our process, resulting in a net rate of women requiring additional breast imaging studies of only 4%.

We use the review of medical claims as the most objective measure of the wellness choices a population is making. Our research shows that there are two populations of women that largely do not overlap: women who adopt mammograms and will always, and women who avoid mammograms and will never have a mammogram. Our focus are these women who choose to not have mammograms and are therefore most often left with no early detection option. The Bexa process is an additional, and never positioned as a replacement for mammograms, but instead as a solution for women that won’t adopt annual screening mammograms beginning at age 40 — and claims review has shown that that’s the majority of women.
